Common Raven
*This photo was not taken in Dutchess County (but it was close!)
You’ll just have to take my word on this one since the photo isn’t so great. 
While I was photographing a pair of black vultures atop the Bonticou Crag, I heard a common raven nearby. I scanned my surroundings until I finally saw him flying. I knew this would be my only chance, so I snapped shot after shot! The photo you see here is the only one that actually looks like a bird. Had it flown by without making a sound, I would have never known it was a raven.
