New Dragonfly/Damselfly Photographed – Azure Bluet

Azure Bluet

With the addition of several new field guides, I now have the resources to look-up many of the insects and moths I come across and photograph.  This is the first of hopefully many more.  I found this little one while hiking at Peach Hill Park on Friday afternoon.

While looking through my dragonfly field guide, I couldn’t believe how many different bluet species there were!  After carefully looking through all of them, I am fairly confident it is an azure bluet.

Looks like I might need to start a dragonfly section soon! :P
