It seems luck has been on my side recently, because this is my third new bird photographed in less than 24 hours! After leaving Vassar Farm, I stopped at Peach Hill to take some photos of the trees blossoming.
My priority changed when I heard a black-throated blue warbler in the tree above me. I looked up to find him, but instead found a lone red-breasted nuthatch staring back at me! I did find the warbler too, but since I got a photo of him yesterday, I focused my attention on the nuthatch. This is the 115th bird I’ve photographed in Dutchess County!
