07/10/11 – Innisfree Garden

Sunday’s original plan was to go to Beacon and hike a variety of locations.  However, I was more tired than expected and almost slept into the afternoon, which is very rare for an ‘up at dawn’ person such as myself.  My backup plan for the day was check out a nearby spot I had never been too.

Innisfree Garden is located in Pleasant Valley and is a beautiful “public garden in which the ancient art of Chinese landscape design has been reinterpreted to create, without recourse to imitation, a unique American garden“, according to the Innisfree Garden website.  There is a cost of $5 to enter the garden.  I am combing through my photos now, and hope to have them up tomorrow or Wednesday.
