Despite the cloudy skies and eventual rain to follow, I actually got some pretty decent photos at Vassar Farm last Friday! The variety, especially in the butterfly category, made for an enjoyable hike through the fields.
The highlights of the day were the return of the belted kingfisher, my first scarlet tanager fledgling sighting, my first viceroy sighting in over two years, and my first giant swallowtail photographs of the season. Not too shabby, huh? 🙂
