Oops! Clearing Up Clearwing Moths

Snowberry Clearwing Moth

It would appear that I made an error in the ‘Butterflies and Moths’ section on my site.  Now that I’m getting a little better at identifying species, I realized my hummingbird clearwing moth photo was actually a snowberry clearwing moth!

The good news out of all this is I didn’t think I had photographed a snowberry clearwing before!  The shot to the right is actually from over a year ago!

The photos of each have been updated.  Best way to tell them apart?  Snowberry clearwings have black legs and hummingbird clearwings have yellow legs.
