Last Saturday, I tried to squeeze in one last hike before Irene. I did get there before the storm, but it didn’t last for long. After about an hour, it started to rain, so I packed up my gear, pulled out my rain jacket, and headed out.
It was a shame too, I spotted tons of birds before the rain hit too. Common yellowthroats, goldfinches, field sparrows, and house wrens were just a couple of the sightings.
