Sunday’s trip to sites near the Hudson River turned out to be a great decision. Not only did I find a new bird to photograph in the egret, I got great looks at adult & juvenile eagles, herons and sandpipers.
The best part about the day, was that it was less about hiking and more observing from one or two locations. I typically hike several miles during the course of a day to get my shots, but this visit was probably a quarter of a mile of walking, if that. Enjoy the photos!
