Between the woodpeckers and sparrows of Hopeland Park and the eagles and ducks from Mills Mansion and Norrie Point, I had a pretty good birding day.
While I had plenty of highlights, the best was stumbling upon that bald eagle perched nearly right above me along the Hudson River. I’ve never gotten an opportunity like that to photograph and observe an adult eagle like that before, and I don’t know if and when I’ll get another chance like that.
