After a visit to Peach Hill Park, my wife and I ate lunch at Gigi Trattoria in Rhinebeck and followed it up with a hike at Ferncliff Forest. The little spot is just a few minutes from the main intersection in Rhinebeck, and if you’ve got the legs and aren’t afraid of heights, it has a fire tower to walk up to enjoy the landscape.
I was hoping to look for wildlife to observe and photograph, but other than a muskrat swimming in the pond there and a flyover by a great blue heron, I didn’t see much.
The last time I was here, I wasn’t really taking scenery photos and was primarily looking for wildlife. Things have changed now, so enjoy the photos from the walk through the preserve and up the tower! 🙂
