Wildlife Photos from 05/11/12 – Hopeland, Mills, Norrie

Northern Rough-winged Swallow

Last Friday’s focus was on habitat variety.  My hope was that by visiting multiple locations, I would have a better chance of finding a better variety of species.  It definitely paid off.

On top of getting photographs of two new birds (Bonaparte’s Gull and Fish Crow), I got some ‘up close and personal’ shots of prairie warbler aggressively defending and establishing their territories.  It was all very exciting!  All in all, I got another great gallery to share with everyone!

Thank you for the nomination! I visit your site nearly every day to see which bird(s) are your focus. I will begin writing something up on the VIBA. 🙂
