Saturday was supposed to be the ‘big day’, but it was relatively quiet in comparison to Thursday and Friday. The ‘big day’ is typically the second weekend in May, but it isn’t an exact science.
But it wasn’t a total loss, as I found my very first white-eyed vireo and lincoln’s sparrow! I also photographed my only northern parula of the season, a bird I was really hoping to see more of this migration. Oh well, there’s always next year!
