Wildlife Photos from 09/16/12 – Everywhere Edition!

White-breasted Nuthatch

Eleanor Roosevelt Historic Site, Mills Mansion Historic Site, Norrie Point, and Vassar Farm.  I looked just about everywhere for migrating sandpipers, but to no avail.  Thankfully, the world is a very diverse place.

At Eleanor, it was nothing but turtles, nuthatches, woodpeckers, and chipmunks.  Along the Hudson River, I got a great look at an adult bald eagle.  At Vassar Farm, the green and great blue herons were still hanging around.

Nice shots Derrick. The lake at Locust Grove may be worth a visit, I’ve had some luck with the odd Sandpiper there in the past.
