Last weekend, I just happened to look outside my bedroom window to see two fox sparrows foraging on the ground with several other sparrows! I tried to get some photos through the windows, but it just wasn’t clear enough. I had to venture outside and risk having them fly off.
In the rain, I walked out to the deck and tried to remain quiet, but they were on to me and began to fly into the trees. As they left, I got a few shots before they moved further into the woods. It’s not the best, but I’ll take it! This would be the 143th bird that I’ve photographed in Dutchess County!
