We got a light dusting of snow on Christmas morning, I figured I would get out and take some landscape photos at Peach Hill Park. I also looked for wildlife during my short walk.
I’ll cut right to the highlight, a barred owl sighting! This was the second time I’ve seen a barred owl at Peach Hill Park this year (last time was the day before Hurricane Sandy).
This was also the second time I’ve ever found a field sparrow in the winter. Other than that, I saw the typical winter birds on my walk, like cardinals, juncos, chickadees, titmice and white-throated sparrows. I have all my shots in the attached gallery.
