Wildlife in the Dominican Republic – Gray Kingbird

Gray Kingbird

Gray Kingbird

As I continued to roam the edges of the resort that we stayed at in the Dominican Republic, I began to find several of these kingbirds sitting at the top of palm trees.  Even though they were out of range, I took a few shots for my life list and continued on.

It wasn’t until the second to last morning when I got to see them a little more up close.  That morning in particular, I found four of them at the front of the resort, going after insects that would fly within their vicinity.  It was much more fun to watch them like this instead of being stationary 50-60 feet up in palm trees.
