One place that we stopped that was pretty cool was the Connecticut Audubon Center in Milford, CT. We enjoyed our stop there so much, that we stopped there a second time on the way home.
The obvious highlight was a snowy owl, but I also saw plenty of other wildlife while exploring the bird sanctuary.
I also got to put the scope to good use there as well, with many species of waterfowl all throughout the Long Island Sound. Some of the waterfowl highlights included red-breasted mergansers (photo above), an american wigeon, common goldeneyes, buffleheads, and black ducks
