Thawing Out…

Hermit Thrush

Hermit Thrush

After nearly two months of being buried in snow, we finally were able to get out again for a short stroll at Vassar Farm.  There wasn’t a whole lot to see, but every now and then, we had a flash of feathers shoot past us.

Towards the end of our hike though, we did stumble across a very healthy looking hermit thrush that overwintered though, which was a nice surprise.

After a brutally tough winter, it was nice to see a little life (and actual grass too!).  The rest of the shots are this article’s gallery.
